To prevent corrosion and detinning, cans (alumium and steel) are coated with the following chemicals

1. MICOflex (BANNED by FDA)
2. PAM (polyamid) (BANNED by FDA)
3. apoxyphenolic (will be BANNED by FDA – Dec 31, 2018)
4. VARSOL (currently being tested to replace above three varnish or coating)
